Dinner and a link

I can't wait for dinner tonight; I'm making poached salmon in a dill sauce with steamed veggies and red potatos. Yumm! This will give me leftover salmon to have in a salad tomorrow for lunch!

Here's a good link (other than the food network) in case you're interested in learning how to poach salmon: http://www.great-salmon-recipes.com/PoachedSalmon.html

I first had poached salmon at the Women's Herbal conference two years ago in New Hampshire. I saw it on the buffet, and only took the teensiest bit. After tasting it I had to run back to get another whole plate of it to eat with my veggie plate - it is fantastic, hot or cold!

Make sure it's Alaskan Salmon, it's far better for the environment and you than Atlantic Salmon!

Have a happy, healthy day!

about the two cats....

....just realized those who know me might become alarmed at the phrase "I'm adopting April's two cats..." but I don't mean my Port Richey friend April, I mean my new friend from Tampa April. Didn't want to cause any panics here....

It's Valentine's week!

Well, it's been a while since I posted last - been sick, hurt my back, etc. - but I'm better now so it's back to work again! I had hoped to have my valentine wall-hanging ready by now, but it's still not done. I am hoping to have pics up before the V day gets here at the least! So keep your eyes peeled for them.

Tomorrow we get to meet our two new arrivals - April's two cats are being adopted by us! This will bring us to five, a number we've been comfortable - nay prosperous and happy - with before. I will be sure to post photos of the new kitties meeting our kitties and hopefully becoming a family.

Since my last posting, we've decided to cancel our trip to Mississippi next month. Too many things pointed towards it being a bad idea, and we've decided to listen and cancelled our plans. Two days after we did this, the dishwasher started working again just fine! Isn't that amazing?! :)

So now I have plenty of time to finish old projects and work on the new ones, no pressures. Good thing, since it seems like the colds we caught are darned tough to get rid of and we're still a little under the weather. We hear about killer flu bugs, etc. and if this cold is any indication - I don't ever want to meet one of those! I also hear lots of people getting sick, so take care everyone - and I highly recommend (if you do get sick) that you take Mucinex, breathe Vick's Vapo-Steam, and try not to sprain any back muscles while you're coughing!!!

Stay healthy everyone!
hugs,
~S
